Michigan Vacation (Alpena Pictures)

Just a quick update...sorry no pictures.

Before I start in on Michigan, I need to address our mourning doves. We sadly lost both eggs. One to the UPS man ringing the doorbell- mother bird racing out of her nest so fast it fell out. A few days later, both birds just abandoned the nest and the remaining egg. I think we had too much traffic going in and out of our front door. So sad. But on a brighter note, when we arrived in Holland, my parents had a robin's nest on their deck plant, and 4 baby robins hatched the day we arrived!

Holland: We were in Holland last week. What a wonderful time! Drew so enjoyed playing Darth Vader with the costume Gramma "made". It was sunny and hot - and we spent lots of time outside playing games, going to the park and hanging out with all of Drew's aunts and uncles. Highlights: camping in a tent with Uncle Dan. Petting the bunnies at the farm. Riding the 4wheeler with Pops. Going to the Peanut Store with Auntie. Playing Star Wars with Uncle Dave. Reading stories with Gramma. It was too bad Sammy had a fever the first day, and wasn't quite himself. But he's all better now.

We're in Alpena now. Unfortunately the weather is terrible. COLD. But we Floridians don't mind - it's a pleasant break from the heat. Drew is LOVING his cousins. He is on the beach as I write this playing by the lake. Can't beat my view...looking out at the beach and Lake Huron. More to come on Alpena trip..and pictures.
